What to expect from music production lessons
We have been offering music production lessons to both novice and experienced producers for many years now. Whether you are starting out on your music production journey and are hungry to take your creativity to new levels, are looking to expand your knowledge and skills, or are purely seeking advice and guidance to get existing projects over the finish line, we have got you.
What beginners can expect
If you’re entirely new to production, knowing where to start can be the biggest challenge. This is why we highly recommend booking an initial two-hour lesson with one of our experienced instructors who can show you what is involved and how the process of music production works. You will leave with a much better understanding of what music production entails, the journey it can take you on, how you can express yourself creatively through music production, and what equipment and software you may need. From there, you can make a call as to whether you continue having lessons with an instructor.
If you decide to continue on your journey, during lessons, you will be guided through the process of making your own track, step by step, using specific tracks you love as your inspiration. Or you may already have specific ideas and want to understand how to bring them to life, in which case great!
During lessons, when the time is right, your instructor can also support you to get set up at home, so you can develop your skills outside of the studio and gain more independence, and confidence. You will also be given tasks to complete at home.
Essentially, our production lessons are designed to break the process down into easy to follow, bite-size chunks, ensuring you can progress and enjoy the beautiful process of writing your own music.
What more experienced producers can expect
Being an experienced, solo producer doesn’t mean you need to go at it alone. Perhaps you have a project, or number of projects you are working on that you are struggling to get over the finish line, or are not quite at the standard you want. Or perhaps you have hit a bit of a creative wall, or cannot work out that new plug in you purchased.
Our instructors can support you with everything from mix downs, improving arrangements and processing sounds with analog gear, to creating those finishing touches to your tracks, or removing/replacing unwanted ones. Of course, ensuring you understand the process so you can implement what you learn outside of our studio is essential too.
